The Dorset Knob Festival is an annual celebration of Moore's Dorset Knob Biscuits in Dorchester.
What are Dorset Knob Biscuits?
Dorset Knobs are a unique savoury biscuit has been made by the Moores family from as far back as 1880. Each biscuit is baked three times and for a total of four hours. They are usually eaten with cheese, much like crackers rather than sweet biscuits.
What happens at the Dorset Knob Festival?
Beside the main Knob Throwing event, the organisers of the festival guarentee there will be additional fun knob attractions including Knob Eating, Knob Painting, a Knob & Spoon Race, Guess the weight of the Big Knob, Knob Darts and a Knob Pyramid.
There will be a the opportunity to purchase foods including knob cheeses, and knob jams.
The Dorset Knob Throwing record was set in 2012 and was 29.4m (96 ft).
